The steps for certification are simple:
Certified products are allowed to use the Qi logo on the product and packaging. A Qi logo on a product assures the user that it’s safe and will work with any related product that also carries the Qi logo, e.g., a Qi Certified charger will work with any brand of Qi Certified smartphone.
Products must comply with the latest version of Qi specifications. When a new version of a specification is released, the WPC specifies a grace period during which testing against the older version is still allowed. At the end of the grace period, the WPC will stop using the older version of the specification and test new products with the latest version. Details of the various specification versions and their corresponding grace period are available to WPC members.
By joining the WPC you will become a key player in shaping and advancing wireless power standards. WPC members gain invaluable insights to compete more successfully and lead the charge in introducing cutting-edge wireless power transfer products to the market.
